I’m delighted, if slightly nervous, to be appearing as part of the Tennessee Williams Festival’s French Quarter Scavenger Hunt this coming weekend, a hunt affectionately titled “Books and Booze.” (What did Ben Franklin say about picking a vice?) The hunt runs from 5-10pm on Friday evening, the 22nd, and will feature the titular pleasures as well as trivia, clues, prizes, and of course, fame and glory for the winning team.
More details are available here: Note that all tickets must be purchased in advance — none will be available at the door. Nor, if scavenger hunters arrive late, does anyone involved in this event promise to keep any corks in any bottles. Occupational hazards, of course.
